was born to Clayton and Martha Beulah Straw. He was known as ‘Bob’ to his family and friends.

Bob’s second marriage…
Marian Van Bemmelen and her first husband were neighbors of Bob and Irene Straw in the early years living in Nunica, Michigan. They hadn’t seen each other in years, but after the death of Irene, they started spending time together… consoling one another over the loss of their spouses. Fred had died a few years prior, so Marian understood what Bob was going through. A short time later, they decided to continue their life journey together and were married April 21, 1979.
