KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, THAT WE Nancy Handy the wife of Cyrenus Handy deceased, Hiram Handy, son, Amon Hills & Asa Adams all of the Town of Parma, Are held and firmly bound unto the People of the State of New York, in the sum of seven [?] hundred dollars current money of the said State, to be paid to the said people; executors and administrators, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals – Dated the sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three. The Condition of this Obligation is such, That if the above bounden Nancy Handy administratrix and Hiram Handy Administrator of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of Cyrenus Handy deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattels, and Credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said Nancy and Hiram or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for the said Nancy and Hiram and the same so made, do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into the office of the Surrogate of the county of Monroe, at or before the expiration of six calendar months from the date of the above written Obligation, and the same Goods, Chattels and Credits, and all other Goods, Chattels and Credits, of the said deceased, at the time of his death, which at any time shall come into the hands or possession of the said Nancy and Hiram or into the hands or possession of any person or persons for the said Nancy and Hiram do well and truly administer according to law. And further, when thereunto lawfully required do make, or cause to be made, a just and true account of Administration: And if it shall hereafter appear, that any last Will and Testament was made by the said deceased, and the Executor or Executors therein named, or any person or persons, do exhibit the same, and request to have it allowed and approved, then if the said Nancy and Hiram being thereunto required, do render and deliver the Letters of Administration granted on the Estate of the said deceased, to the office from which the same were issued – THEN this obligation to be void and of none effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
