Obituary

Marvin D. Wade, 78, of Homer, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at his home.
 Mr. Wade was born January 9, 1922, in Butler Township, to C. Merrill and Florence (King) Wade.
 He married Dorothy Straw August 24, 1947. She survives.
 Mr. Wade was a lifelong resident of the area and a farmer. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.
 He was a member of the Michigan Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Oil Association, Michigan Milk Producers Association, Dairy Herd Improvement Association, Homer VFW, was a trustee of Butler Township, and was a member of the Country Couples Club and Litchfield Farmers Club.
 In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ron (Ann) Peeper , Mrs. Jerry (Ellen) Brodock and Mrs. Jeff (Lori) Butler ; two sons, James (Kathy) Wade , and Dean (Marla) Wade ; a brother, Richard (Lois) Wade , 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 7, at the George White Funeral Home in Litchfield. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Homer.
