Margaret L. Epp Nov. 6, 1918-Feb. 1, 2005 Margaret L. Epp of Boulder died of natural causes Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at the HospiceCare Center of Boulder and Broomfield Counties in Louisville. She was 86. She was born Nov. 6, 1918, in Ray, Ind., to Walter V. and Bessie McTaggert Strawe. She married John G. Epp on Feb. 21, 1942, in Naperville, Ill. Mrs. Epp moved to Naperville when she was 5. She attended school there and graduated from North Central College in 1940, earning a bachelor's degree in zoology. She did graduate work at the University of Chicago. She was a registered dietician. She and her family moved to Boulder in 1951 from Midland, Mich. Mrs. Epp spent most of her adult life as a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Boulder and The American Dietetic Association. Mrs. Epp's hobbies included accompanying her husband on photographic journeys and worrying about her children and grandchildren. In her latter years, many people who met her commented on her graciousness. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; a sister, Betty Kastner; and an infant daughter, Mary Margaret Epp. Mrs. Epp is survived by a daughter, Martha A. Ebert and her husband Robert of Hopewell, N.J.; three sons, George E. Epp II and his wife Kenda Peterson of Boulder, Paul J. Epp of Estes Park, and James M. Epp and his wife Julie Birschbach of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A memorial service is planned for later this spring or early summer.
