was born to Lida and Wilson Duguid.
George married Mildred Edna Turner in 1904.
George Wilson Duguid Eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Duguid, was born March 1, 1884, and died Nov. 6, 1907, aged 23 years, 8 months and 5 days. He was a student of the Tri-State college in 1902. Dec. 21, 1904, he was married to Miss Edna Turner, of Eaton Rapids, Mich, and to them were born two children--Frederick Wilson and Vilah Mildred. They spent the greater part of their married life on a farm near Eaton Rapids. In the fall of 1906 his health began to fail and he and his family came to the home of his father and spent the winter. Revival meetings were in progress in the Covenanter church at Ray, and there he acknowledged his faith in God. He went back to Eaton Rapids and spent the summer, but all the time that fatal malady, Bright's disease, was taking firm hold upon his system, and in August he came home for the last time. Patiently he bore his suffering; though so young in years and with so many bright prospects for a happy earthly career, not a murmur nor complaint ever passed his lips. To those who ministered unto him he spoke of his love for Jesus and his hope of eternal life, and as he stepped down into the valley of the shadow of death his mother repeated the promise and with a smile on his lips his spirit winged its flight to the God who gave. The infinite Father never makes a mistake and there is one more link in the chain that binds our hearts to our heavenly home. He will not return to us, but we shall go to him. He leaves to mourn, his wife and two children, father, mother, brother, sister and an aged grandfather, besides many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held in the Covenanter church, Friday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, Rev. C. M. Smith officiating. .pdf of source
